USAF
Immediately after TAMU, two days, I reported to UPT at Craig AFB, Selma, AL. Finished in the allotted time and returned there as a 37 IP. Flew as an instructor for 2 years and then the AF flooded ATC with the returning Viet Nam Vets.

In the first year of UPT I had trusted Christ through the ministry of the Navigators. The Navs asked me to consider leaving the AF and join their staff. Since the AF was over-manned they let me out. I moved to Birmingham, AL, in October of 1976 into the basement of the Navstaff there and begin working at Southern Company Services as a Cost Engineer, and at UAB leading Bible Studies and sharing the Gospel with students.

The Navigators
I was leading the single men's ministry and Jenny had moved from Auburn to lead the single girls ministry. We had met two years earlier at an Auburn Nav rally. We begin to date in the spring of 1977 and were married June 3, 1978. We moved to East Lansing, MI to enter the Nav training center at Michigan State University.

We were there two years and then relocated to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. While at UT we had our first child John, in 1981. In 1983 Jenny became pregnant with our second, and while she was 8 months pregnant we moved to Bowling Green, KY to lead the ministry at Western KY University. Ranae was born about a month after we arrived. We were in Bowling Green for 4 years. The last two years we were responsible for WKU, Middle Tennessee State, and Vanderbilt.

The period from 84 to 87 was pretty intense. I had about 5 of atotal 8 operations we had Jeff our third in 1985, and at the end of that time we were asked to leave the staff of the Navs.

Dallas Seminary
Still feeling led to ministry we moved the family to Dallas and I started DallasTheological Seminary. While there I worked part time in project controls for Beck Program Management. Brian was born in 1988 the day before my second Hebrew exam. I graduated in 1991 with a Thm.

At the time I was working for the Charles E Fuller Institute of Evangelism and Church Growth. I was marketing and helping to conduct the Meta Church project throughout North America. In the spring of 1992 CEFI asked us to move to CA to lead the project. We went out there to investigate and determined that was a financial impossibility. We choose not to move to CA and CEFI choose to find someone who would.

We began to transition out of CEFI. One of the churches in the Arlington area began to talk to me about taking an assistant possession there to lead the changes necessary for them to implement the Meta project in their congregation. While working with CEFI

I had maintained a consulting relationship with one of the engineering firms I had worked with while at BECK. At the same time the church in Arlington called, this firm, Carter and Burgess, called wanting help with a project controls project in their Ft Worth office. The problem was going to take about the same time that I anticipated the church would need to move on the Assistant Pastor position. Long story short. The church could not make up its mind and the Company built a project controls department around me.

Industry
In the fall of 1993 C&B was asked to start working with BSW in Tulsa, OK. We were doing the distribution side of the Wal-Mart construction program and BSW was doing the store side. Wal-Mart was interested in making the two integrate more fully. I was asked to move to Tulsa and help open the office there. That relationship fell through in Nov.

In Dec BSW decided to start their own engineering company. I was one of the twelve people hired from C&B by BSW. We hired 290 engineer types in about six months. My role was IS. The experiment blew apart in May 97. I was invited to join the unemployment program.

Current
In May of 97 John was at the end of his Sophomore year in HS. He had just been elected one of the class officers for the next year in one of the largest HS in OK, about 2500 students. He was deeply involved in the Band, as well as FCA and the church youth group. John takes after his mother. He has been in the G&T program since the second grade.

He has been labeled the "smartest kid in school" on a couple of different occasions. Like I said he takes after his mom. We made a choice not to move him until he graduated. We decided that if we had to sell all we had and I had to flip burgers we were going to let him finish here. The reason is that he had found a social structure that he was finally beginning to fit well into.

I had an offer from a local Oil Company to head up the operations of one of their new ventures. I was in the process of making that decision when the VP that I had worked with at BSW called telling me of a job we could do together in NYC. We flew up to New York and scoped out the job. We decided to do the work. A month later we started a company together and now, 18 months later we are 16 people.

Our major clients are Wal-Mart, Best Buy, QuikTrip (c-store), and United Video. We have several other jobs that are one off type work, these are our repeat customers. We do remodels of Sam's, Wal-Marts and SuperCenters for WM, ground ups for Best Buy and QT, a Distribution Center for QT, and process reengineering for United Video.
